And we thought she ALREADY had enough reason to be in a mental institution...

Heh, guess I was wrong about not getting a life. In fact, I bet that if I hadn't taken summer PE I would right now be staring at my ceiling. I once managed to do that for a half hour you know!

I'm going to be on a plane tomorrow night going to Maui. My friend (I think she posted once as Biggs429) is on the island for her uncle's 50th birthday. So I get to see her for the first time in months. It's making me a bit delirious with happiness. Okay, excuse me as I go crazy for a second in delirious fun.

Okay, slight delirium is gone (sort of).

So I'm also a little upset as well. You see the author mental from HPFF (on the side bar) said that she'd update Match. today, but she has yet to update. I'm rather bummed out, she left off with a slight cliffie (okay, so deadly flying purple socks that have suddenly spawned, and James Potter sounding like he's about to pull out a sword is more of something funny than a slight cliffhanger, but it still doesn't mean that I don't want more!).

Adding to my uphoria of happiness is that WALL-E is coming out this weekend.

Adding to my being upset is that there WASN'T A TEASER TRAILER!!!! (I'm very angry! Twilight's teaser comes out about a month ago, while HP6 - which comes out
before twilight only has international release dates! I feel jipped.)

The final thing to add to my uphoria (bipoler much?) is that my mom promised that we aren't having fast food tonight! I am SO sick of fast food...

Song #? (I really need to update the side bar...) is No One Knows by Queens of the Stone Age (a group of
men). It ends with someone speaking spanish, but other than that I think it's a good song.

I'm hungry, so I'm off to go get a 3:30 lunch...

Wall-E, Breaking Dawn, and OMG

Hey people of Earth. Or maybe Mars... Do they have internet on Mars yet? :P

So I'm here today (OMG!!! She's actually posting). Yeah, I haven't been posting as regularly, but I think it's because I've finally gotten a life... BUT with summer approching I'm likely to loose that life in a matter of days. We can only hope that Summer PE (so I don't have to take the class next year), can help me keep SOME semblance of a life. Of course, it's not likely to happen... Aw, well!

Now, I may not be the best judge of movies, but I feel a need to speak about Wall-E. Wall-E is Pixar's newest film, coming out June 27th. Get this almost NO DIALOG (sp?). That's right!!! The main characters can NOT talk. Talk about crazy (cheezy pun, yes I know...[actually, did anyone even figure out it was a pun at first glance? - just a thought]).

Anyways, it has robots, and romance, so that's a bit for the guys and girls (though I think that both aspects make it great...). Plus this little robot just looks so cute. Plus he's curious if you've seen the commercials, reviews, ect.

Now, I've seen all the Pixar movies besides Ratatouille, and I feel I can safely say that they haven't made any horrible movies whatsoever (Cars was a little overhyped and little kid friendly, but I still think it was good[ish?]), so I feel that I trust Pixar enough to make another great film.

Now, I give you a Breaking Dawn...

Spoiler Alert !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have not read the first chapter of Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer...

Walk AWAY from the computer....

Or scroll down till you see more big L-E-T-T-E-Rs

Okay, so one thing I have to say. WHO IS IN THE PROLOGUE!!!! Who in the flippin' world is she talking about? The only people I can think of are Edward and Jake, and I now think I must admit I'm a team Jacob who completely supports Bella in her choice of Edward. So, I'm basically saying that I have trouble thinking that it could be Jake, but I also think it impossible for Edward to hurt Bella.

I have come up with an alternative solution.

Bella is thirsty and after humans but Edward is trying to keep her from doing something stupid. The major problem with this is that she is 'marked for disaster', so this solution doesn't work. I must grudgingly admit that it could also be Jake - now so wild - who can't stop himself from attacking Bella.

Maybe I should start hoping for her to fall in love with Ben Cheney... (yes that's right I'm team BEN, [I even made a t-shirt for it :D]).

The part about Jake - after I'd reread the Epilogue of Eclipse a bundle of times - was rather expected for me. I figured that as a wolf, they could still track him, so they wouldn't be on the (pretend) search - even if the whole town was searching.

I had been expecting WAAY more drama from Bella's family. I mean, Charlie was supposed to turn colors then yell. And Renee was supposed to refuse to go to the wedding or something! Although - even though I now realize the obviousness of it - Charlie thinking Bella to be pregnant was H!-I!-L!-A!-R!-I!-O!-U!-S!

I absolutely CANNOT believe that Bella gave in so much. I thought she was strong enough to fight the system! And I saw the video of the closest car to the 'Guardian' getting hit with tests like BEING SHOT AT!!!! It was a really awesome video, & I'd post the link, but I can't find it :(

I like the idea of Bella still having a link to the pack through Seth (and Seth & Edward striking up friendship) and it makes me wonder what drama will come of it...

BIG LETTERS

Now, don't think that I'm being hypocritical when you first read this. I H A T E O M G.

I'm not talking about when people are texting, bloging, ect. I'm talking about the people who SAY omg. I can understand typing in OMG because it's easier, and less tedious than Oh, My, God (or Gosh - if the idea's offensive). Plus OMG looks more urgent than Oh My God. But for heaven sakes, if you're too lazy to SAY 'oh, my, god', then you shouldn't be talking at all. I don't have time for people THAT lazy, because if you're that lazy then you probably don't bother to think for yourself...

That's my 2 cents.

To speak out for those who actually don't like Summer break TOO majorly, I dub this post's song 'Closing Time', by Semisonic in their CD Feeling Strangely Fine. I give you this song to give you the message that we should grab this opportunity known as Summer Break, with the realization that so many hopes and dreams are possible in the span of time.

Delirious = fun for all (but me)

Terve! Hola! Bonjour! Kalla! Goddag! Hallo! Guten label! Olá! Ciao! God dag! Hallå! Abyssus!

Guess what? Those twelve hellos I gave to you are almost all found in TWO languages? I found Hallo the most, so often in fact, that if I'd put in all the languages with only that for Hello (on my translator) there would be two more hallos up there. Just thought you'd like to get a thought to begin the post.

Now why did I begin with a thinker? Today, I plan to challenge the way you think about the world. (Okay, so I'm mostly here to help you understand there's a world outside your country).

Did you know that there are 195 countries in the world?
Did you know that there are 6,700 languages spoken across the globe?
Did you know that there are about 4,200 religions on Earth?
Did you know there are around 6.5 billion people alive?

Did you know...

glumbert - Shift Happens 2

Our world is changing.
Technology will change.
Political powers will change.
Knowledge will change
Access to knowledge will change.
Exchange rates will change.
Music will change.
Ideals will change.
Travel will change.
Money will change.

Yet even in a world where so much is changing so quickly...

The essence of being human will not change.

Enjoy my little presentation? I was bored so... Well you know how I am :D
Or if you don't, might I say that I'm pleased to make you acquaintance. (Sorry about the silliness, it's 11:15 here in Hawaii, and I'm getting a bit delirious).

For the heck of it I've been coming up with a bunch of tee-shirt ideas (related to twilight), but I'm not going to tell anyone any of them until after all of the books in the series are published (including Midnight Sun).

No song, as I need to sleep.

Podcasting

Okay, so my friend and I are starting a podcast for the twilight series, the host, and whatever else Stephenie Meyer might come out with. Our first episode is being recorded this Friday. We're going to be talking about what we thought of the Host. Our podcast is called 'Anti-Human', and I urge you to be there on the 21st when we will have the first episode out. (I must sheepishly admit that I'm not done with the design yet, so enjoy how lame it is while it lasts).

I also might learn how to make a banner ad and put it into the sidebar here.

I finished the Host. Six (or seven, it you count the have from I've) words to describe it "The best book I've ever read". It took me two days to read it. That book is so huge. My friend (see above) has my book, so I can't start re-reading it yet. I just asked her if she can finish it by Friday (again, see above) and she told me she still has to ask if she can do the podcast. YIKES!

I know that you're probably getting tired of all the Paramore songs of the day (although I'm not!) so I'm giving you another song by Death Cab For Cutie. My choice is 'What Sarah Said', it's on the CD Plans.

Hope you're having a great Tuesday (2x Tuesday at dominoes!),

Not a Chance

Ugh, this is impossible.

You see, about every other month college suddenly springs to the front of my mind. You have no idea how much I want to get a degree in tuba performance at UW. Absolutely no idea. And yet, I've looked through the application process.

There's no way that I have any chance.

Seriously, ALL the major and minor scales, MEMORIZED!?!?!?! Who can do that? Not me. That I'm sure of. Not to mention I have to preform two pieces. I'm bloody horrible at preforming on my own. And I have no tuba to practice on at all, a tuba is between 3,000 and 20,000 dollars, and that's simply for one of cheap good quality. I have no chance to get into this school, or any school for that matter (though UW, is preferable, as I'm a resident of Washington, and there's a difference of 16,000 dollars a year for the undergraduate program [less difference for the graduate program, but still...])

Ugh, I want to go to this school so badly. Nobody can have any idea how much. And it doesn't help that I'm not with a good group of musicians to be learning with at school. About half our class is given over to discipline, and lectures on life, simply because nobody manages to put any effort in.

Not to mention I don't have a lesson instructor. And I also need some skill on the piano (on which I can only play basic compositions in C position, probably with horrible technique as well.

Meanwhile I ache for the release of The Host. If only today could be tomorrow (actually, I need all the time I can get, so maybe I don't wish that, but still...).

No song for today, I'm not really in the mood...

Sunday, April 27, 2008

Hey guys! I fell asleep in a heartbeat last night, so I didn't get much of a chance to make a post. Well, actually, I didn't fall asleep that quick, but the Lord of the Rings made me tired.

So apparently I do have friends in my age group who like what I like, I just wasn't listening... Ah, well, at least I know now. So that's good...

My friend and I are starting a Twilight Podcast, and - being a twilaholic - has started advertising. I'm not quite sure what she expects, because we're just a bunch of kids doing a show, surely it can't get far. Not to mention, I'm still learning html a bit more in depth so I can make to page look better, and right now, I don't want too many people to see it.

I've been spending a lot of time on youtube for these past two days and I feel compelled to recommend some stuff. Obviously I've been watching the clips about the twilight movie (there are tons). I also have been watching videos from the account 'nigahiga'. Of theirs I reccomend the how to be _____ series (order: ninja, gangster, emo, nerd), the number 21 (or something along those lines), mindgeek (really stupid and funny)... Actually now that I think of it, I recommend everything (except a few of the lip syncs).

You guys get a double song today, since I didn't do it yesterday. Plus I'm rereading 'Just Listen' by Sarah Dessen, and Owen's take/obsession on music makes you a bit obsessed yourself.

Today's first song is another by Death Cab for Cutie 'Soul Meets Body'. My favorite part has to be the short instrumental at the begining. This song I like way more for the sound than the actual lyrics.

My second song for today is also a repeat band. We welcome back Paramore, this time with 'That's what you get'. I first (and only) found it on youtube, the video is awesome (which reminds me, I forget to mention fueledbyramen earlier), and I love the lyrics and sound. I definitely need to get this CD, which also reminds me that I'm almost out of space on my ipod :( I listen to too much music now.

With nothing much else to say,

Release

I am a bit frustrated right now. To fix it I'm listening to some of my more 'hardcore' songs, and my foot is shaking violently. I'm trying to come up with better solutions, as I feel a bit nauseous (perhaps it was the pizza I ate?), and shaking your foot tends to jitter the stomach more.

Ugh...

My dad's going to put our ps2 on craig's list, NOT in the garage. Our old T.V. goes to my parent's room, not the garage. (Hopefully their old one can go in the garage). I really just want to be able to play DDR, but the way this is going, I don't expect it to have a chance of happening...

I seriously wonder how serious my dad was when he offered to get a drum set... The death of the 360 makes me miss the rock band, creating a want for the ability to play the real instruments. Plus (even if it is 8:30) I would love to go destroy a drum set (or um, play)...

I'm going to the beach tomorrow. My friend is coming with me, and I haven't gone to the beach with a friend in a long time. So that should definitely be fun...

I don't feel like a song today.

Laters,

Oceansurferg

PS: I've noticed that the time-stamp on the blog is wrong. I'll fix it a bit later, but for now just know that it's three hours behind.

I've had the song crushcrushcrush by paramore stuck in my head, so I looked up other songs by them on SkreemR. Let me just say that so far I think they're AWESOME. I don't think I've ever found alternative with a woman singing that I liked. But this is different. It sounds good, so I'm totally into it.

Okay, so, I just left this post for an hour and a half. My phone call didn't come. I'm dieing to play some DDR (let's hope the new tv, comes soon so we can put the old one in the garage for me to use). My dad has confirmed the death of our 360. Life continues. Meanwhile, a tired girl writes out a blog post when she would prefer to be dreaming... I always love dreams...

You'd never have guessed what today's song is. In an effort to get it out of my head crushcrushcrush by paramore gets the headline of song number 9 (I think).

As I've already said, I'm deathly tired, and want to just plop to sleep, so I'm going to do so.

A random Wednesday, how else?

I understand that it's a bit absurd, but I never realized that D.C. has a mayor. I now realize how silly that is, but I just didn't think it possible. Or at the very least I believed the mayor of D.C. would simply be the president. I'm just shocked that isn't the case.

I'm reading Anne Frank's Diary. Barely anywhere yet (page 55), but, as an internet addict, is it really possible for me to leave the computer for over an hour when I'm home and not sleeping? The diary is also screwing up how I write. I'm also Mrs. Quack Quack on yahoo, and msn messengers. And yesterday's post, we were reading a play based on the book and had to do songs, hence 'Mrs. Vaan Dan (I found out I spelled her name wrong)

Daddy (as I've now taken to calling him) is coming home a day early. It makes me very happy, especially since I believe it means that pizza and the tri-tip are pushed up on our dinner calender, and I love pizza and steaks (but not ribs, nobody understands why not...).

I'm feeling about ready to murder a friend. We like to jabber on the phone a lot (especially since we found out we both have t-mobile). Anyways, whenever she's called me, she's joked saying that she's called someone that I'd rather she not. This sent me into hyperventilation the first time, but now I just yell really loudly (it is a phone). But there's so much to this story that cannot be said, so I will just say that this is actually a larger act than this paragraph entails. Hmm... Maybe I do sound like a text book...

My 360 has a red ring when I try to turn it on, I can only believe that this is a sign of its death.

And now for the song of the day. I'm so sorry that I keep forgetting to put the songs into the side bar, but I am a procrastinator. Yes, I know that's not an excuse, but it's an explanation! Anyways, what is today's song... Sorry, I've got to go look for one... Here we go! Crazy English Summer by Faithless. I'm surprised I haven't done this one yet. Used to listen to it a lot (until someone's youtube video ruined it for me).

Not much else to say today.

Toodles! (wow, makes it seem like I've gotten an email from a certain friend...)

Oceansurferg

PS: I'm not going through and changing the colors of the black and white ones. I want my stupidity to be completely recorded! And you already know I'm weird.

Oceansurferg can't blog!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Hey guys!

I have quite a lot going on in my life, that is, unfortunately, not bloggable. All of these stories I have are super personal, and if somehow, certain people managed to get here and knew it was me, I would not be happy.

But, since I can't do these stories, today is just a song day.

Song #7[(?), I've lost track] is, as I said yesterday, really funny if you know the inside joke. One name Mrs. Van Dann. With that in mind please enjoy 'Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous' by Good Charlotte. Below isn't the real video, but it has good sound quality, and it's kind of cool.

That's it

Oceansurferg

PS: I found the colors! I was stuck in edit HTML instead of compose.
